Lillian update

Today I went in for my 32 week ultrasound. They gave me an ultrasound today because they weren't able to see the brain or kidneys well at the 20 week ultrasound and around this time with Emma I started to leak fluid so they wanted to make sure that wasn't happening again. Lillian looked great. She is 5 lbs and is measuring 35 weeks. I was unable to scan the pictures on the printer but will try to do it again soon.
Emma is also doing really well. I weighed her the other day and she weighed on our scale 19 lbs 8 oz. That is a big difference from what she weighed a few months ago. She is also talking a lot more now. I don't always know what she is saying but she definitely has things to say. She also will repeat what we say. At Applebee's on Tuesday we said thank you to the waitress and Emma did too. It was so cute. I unfortunately have no new pictures to put up here but as soon as our printer works I will put the ultrasound pictures on here so keep an eye out for them.

halloween

What a wonderful weekend we had. On friday we were shocked when Dale got to come home around 4 to be with us. Usually he isn't home until around 8 or 9 so this was a very nice surprise. We dressed emma and my belly and headed to our friends house to trick or treat. It was so much fun. Emma enjoyed it but was a little confused about what was going on but she was happy since she was with her buddy Lauren. After we did that for about an hour we headed to the church for a halloween party. They had all kinds of toys for all ages. They had a toddler area for Emma to play in but she wasn't real interested in anything but what people were eating. She loves food if you can't tell. But she did do other things like jump in the ball pit there and also we put her in a costume contest that she ended up being in the top 3.

On Saturday we got up bright and early and headed to a new recruiters house to help him unload his truck. Of course all I could do is watch but I was able to get to know his wife which was nice. She had so much fun with Emma and Emma enjoyed her. We left there around 3 and had to rush home and get ready for our friends going away party. It was a sad time for us since they were the first friends we had here and we will miss them.

On Sunday we didn't do to much which was very nice. All we did was go down to a place Dale will be hunting at now since his old place has been closed down.

This time change has really been hard on Emma. We had just gotten her on a schedule and she really wanted to stick to it tonight but I had to keep her up a little later so that she doesn't wake up to early in the morning. Hopefully tomorrow night will be better.

Baby #2 is doing really good. I am now calling her that because we are going back and forth on two names. I think we will decide between the two once we see her. Right now I am having horrible heartburn which I never once had with Emma. But other than that I am doing really well. We are having an ultrasound done November 12th since my doctor wasn't able to see her really well at the last one. I will be double checking the sex when I have this done. I hope the rest of you had a wonderful weekend.

hey everyone!

It has been a very busy week for me and emma and it continues tomorrow. We are part of a play group that I found online and we have been doing so much with them. Its been great. Emma has so much fun with all the other kids but especially with a little guy named Frank. He is only 7 months old but every time emma sees he is there she starts grinning and runs over to him. Its very cute. Tomorrow we are going to our weekly tag along gym and then at 3:30 we are heading to one of the girls house to paint. So hopefully she will be out early tomorrow night since I have been so tired lately.
Lillian is doing good and kicking me all of the time. She is now up in my ribs and its very painful. I just wish I could push her down a little bit so it wouldn't hurt so badly. But I know I am nearing the end.
I am going to try to post a video of emma walking on it but i have never done it on here so let me know if you don't see it. love you all.

weekend update

Well to be honest we didn't do much of anything this weekend. Dale had to take someone to Chicago on Friday and didn't get back home until 10. So emma and I decided to watch a movie that we rented while he was gone. Emma got through maybe 5 minutes of it before falling asleep.
Saturday Emma and i went to healthy happy family day here in town where they had healthy food and some things going on but unfortunately I didn't make it too long. I started having intense cramps and a lot of pain but what we saw was very neat. They had different venues showing healthy choices you and your family can make and did different fun exercises with children. When Dale got home I had him watch Emma so that i could lay down to help the pain I was having but no such luck. For the past 2 weeks i have been having these pains and they are pretty constant and more intense when i am on my feet. I have a doctors appointment this week so we will see what happens. We also watched some football. I got to see LSU win again. Yay! But unfortunately my favorite team did not win.
Today we went to a costume store to get emma a costume for halloween. She is going to be a baby bug. it is so cute. We wanted her to be raggedy ann but we couldn't find the costume. Then we came home and watched some football again. Carolina won of course. lol. Dale went against them this week in his company's pool he is in.
Emma is now mostly walking she will only crawl when she needs to get somewhere fast. Like she likes to eat the dogs food so if the gate to the kitchen is open she will speed crawl to that food. I think its just a way to mess with mommy. But other than things like that she is walking everywhere and is proud of it. I really wish my camera was working so i could tape her walking b/c she just gives this big smile as she is coming to you. Also she loves my belly now. If i am laying down my shirt has to be up so she can look and rub my belly. its so cute. Other than that we had a pretty lazy weekend which is good b/c we are very busy this coming up week.

allergies

I think I told some of you that about a month ago we had to rush emma to the ER b/c she had a horrible allergy attack. She looked like she had a sunburn from head to toe and her eyes and ears were swollen. Well they weren't able to tell us what caused the attack. Today I was drinking a glass of milk which usually i only drink in the kitchen and keep it on the counter where she can't get it well I wasn't thinking tonight and she took my cup and took a big sip of it apparently. Most of it went on the table so we didn't think she had gotten any. When I was putting her down to bed Dale said her eye was swollen and I lifted her up and her face was bright red. so we gave her benadryl. So now we know that whatever she had that day we took her to the ER had milk in it. Her allergies are so scary and I don't want other people watching her b/c of them. I know most people will be cautious but look even her own mommy slipped up. But all is well now. she is passed out.

Its been awhile

Sorry i haven't been on here in a long time. I have been extremely tired from pregnancy and chasing a one year old around. We are now a part of a playgroup that we do things with a couple times a week. its so much fun to have adult conversations with people and emma and enjoys hanging out with all of the kids. Today we went for the final cook the group will be having for the summer. It was so much fun. I think there were about 20 people there.
Emma is starting to do so much. She loves to walk and although she is not great at it yet she prefers walking over crawling. Its so cute to watch. I have been wanting to take a video but my camera is broken. It is killing me to not take pictures. She is also talking up a storm these days. I don't know what she is saying 90% of the time but its still cute. We have been doing people's names with her and so far she can say grif, mimi, and gage. if she is in a good mood she will go around saying grif or as she says it gif.
As for baby Lillian she is doing great. I have been having some issues but still nothing compared to the problems I had while pregnant with Emma. Sorry i have no pictures but hopefully my camera will work soon. if not i will be taking it in.

Its a GIRL!!!!

Yesterday I went to have my big ultrasound done and found out that once again I will have another girl. Both Dale and I are thrilled to be having another little princess. I think Emma will enjoy it as well. My sister and I have always been close growing up so Im sure Emma and Lillian will as well. I was unable to get a picture of Lillian because she was breached so the doctor had a hard time seeing everything. I have to go and get another one at some point since he was unable to see the kidneys and head real well. Her head was right at my belly button so it was impossible for him to get a good view. I was however able to see her opening and closing her mouth. She is already precious. They are sticking with the due date of January 5th which works for me.

Emma just turned 11 months old 2 days ago. Its amazing to think last year at this time I was waiting for her to come. She is crawling so well these days and its hard to keep up with her. She is extremely energetic which I love. She has to be on the go all the time. She is also a pro at finger walking so I don't think it will be long until she is walking.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July

Sorry I haven't written lately I have just been busy keeping up with Emma. She is not crawling but she is scooting around. She is getting good at it too. She can get from one side of the room to the other at no time at all. She is also talking up a storm these days. Her favorite word is still dada but she is saying mama a lot more these days. She also has learned to say hi, no, woof, and baba (thats what we call her bottle).
We have been enjoying the summer by going to the pool a lot. Its been so much fun for the both of us to socialize with other people. We usually meet our friends Colleen and Aubrey. Emma and Aubrey don't really know what to think of each other but its so cute to see them together. They are not good at sharing. We usually bring toys for the kids to play with but they want what the other one has and will try hard to take it. I hope she gets out of that habit.
We had a great July 4th. We went to Tuscola which is about 20 minutes from our home and played with farm animals, ate things that are very bad for us and watch some fireworks. Emma was not at all interested in the fireworks. I guess that is better than her crying during them. We had such an exhausting day that we came straight home and all went to sleep (including me). I look forward to taking her next year when she really will appreciate them. I hope you all had a great july 4th.

Fathers Day weekend!!

First Happy Father's day to all the fathers out there. Our father's day was great we put most of the fence up or really Dale put the fence up I just watched. I really wish I could of helped more but I am unable to lift things like that right now. After that we watched tv together and then went to dinner which was so nice. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. When we got back we found out our power was out from a big storm we had while we were eating. It was out for a long time so we considered staying at hotel but luckily we didn't b/c as soon as we were about to leave it came back on.
We had planned to go to where the first ragedy ann and andy's were made but due to the flooding there we weren't able to. So instead we did a bunch of nothing which was fine with me. We don't get to see Dale a lot during the week so having him home is enough for me.
Emma is doing so great. She went for her 9 month appointment last week and weighs 16.7 pounds. Its not a huge jump but we will take it. She is also close to crawling. I think in the next few weeks she will be on the move. I promise I will tape her once she does start.
Sorry for the lack of pictures. I need to get on the ball with pictures. Again happy fathers day to all. I miss you daddy. I wish I could of seen you today. We love you all.

Emma started school today

It was a sad day for mommy because I had to drop my daughter off at school for the first time. Luckily, i was running late for work so I couldn't get too emotional but I am pregnant anyway so I will be emotional. She had a great day but didn't eat or sleep too much which I heard was normal for a babies first time in daycare. When she got home she was starving and exhausted. So I fed her and we both went and layed down in bed together. Poor little girl had it rough today. But I do think she had fun with all the kids. Sorry I don't have any pictures today but I wanted to let everyone know about her first day at school.

We are back

I am finally able to post after a wonderful trip down to North Carolina. We went down there for my cousins wedding and for Emma to be baptised. It was a wonderful week once we got down there. We had decided to split our trip up by first stopping in at my dads. It was a 9 hour trip to his house which Emma did not like at all. By the time we got there she wanted nothing to do with her carseat. It was great to see all of them. Emma really loves to see her Grandpa. The teenage girls were even there to see Emma so that shows how much they must like her.

After spending the night at my dads we went to see Pamala for the night. She was going to keep Emma friday night so we could have an adult night. It was really nice to be able to spend the evening with just adults but by the end of the night I just wanted to hold my little girl. That was Emma's first night away from mommy and I was told she did excellent which is great news since she will be going to Daycare starting the 27th. On Friday I was finally able to meet the new addition to the Comeaux clan, Miss Amelia. It was so exciting to get to see her. I think she looks nothing like her older sister but I am the only one that feels that way. I was also excited to see Julie. She has grown so much since the last time I saw her. She is now saying Melanie instead of Mel Mel which just shocked me. I was so happy to see everyone in my family because I haven't seen any of them since November. I wish all of them lived closer to us. On Saturday we went to pick Emma up and to see Holly and Gage and meet Stephanie. We were very excited to see them all. I really wish we could have seen them longer but we just had such a busy weekend.

We came back to Burlington and met up with everyone at a park that we all loved as children. We have also decided that is where Emma's birthday party will be. Emma had such a great time with everyone there but I think the carousel scared her. She cried the second time we put her on there. Later on we went to Laurens wedding which was wonderful. On Sunday we baptised Emma at the same church that I was baptised at. She did such a wonderful job. I was worried she might cry when he poured that water on her head but she was fine with it. I should have known she would have been because she is a very mellow baby. She only cries when she is exhausted or hungry and thats it. I am so blessed to have her. Hopefully my second child will be just as good. lets all hope.

Update on us!

Yesterday Emma got her helmet which she is still getting use to. Its really hard to put on but I am sure after plenty of practice I will be a pro at it. Once it is on her she doesn't seem to mind it which is what I was really worried about. she just continues to play. While we were at the doctors office she hit her head on the table when leaning to far back while wearing the helmet. I guess she thought it was cool that it didn't hurt so she did it two more times. Silly baby.

This weekend Emma said her first word. It was dada. He was so proud of her and almost cried when she said it to him. Now when he is not home she goes dada dada all day long pretty much. Its very cute. I can tell she is turning into a daddy's girl

Some exciting news for me is that I have a job. I start Monday the 19th for a company named Americall. Its not my dream job but its something different for me. So wish me luck. I think that is all I have to report today.

hi all!

Well we all had a pretty good weekend after a long week. Last week Emma and I had doctors appointments everyday but Thursday. We both have allergies so we had to go to our primary doctors to get a referal to see the allergist. I also got a mole removed. It was actually more painful than I remember it to be but I think it was just the location. After all of these appointments we were ready for a break.

On Friday we went to our friends house to cook out. I realized I didn't get enough formula for Emma so I had to go home to get it. We live 20 minutes from them. By the time I got back Emma was screaming. Apparently she had been crying the whole time. As soon as I picked her up she was fine so I think she is going through seperation anxiety. Poor little girl. It couldn't come at a worse time since I am going back to work in a month. On Sunday we went to the park and let her swing on the swing. I think she was a little scared at first but was smiling and laughing by the time we got her out. The wind is horrible here sometimes so we couldn't stay very long. The sand was blowing in all of our eyes.

There isn't much else to report except Emma has her second tooth in. Hope you all have a great week.

Emma has a tooth!!!

We are so excited about Emma's first tooth. It came in on April the 7th. I had no idea she was teething either because she wasn't fussy or anything. The only thing that I noticed was that she was having a hard time sleeping. Now she is into bitting on everything especially mommy and daddy's fingers.
She is now also sitting up like a pro. She can even reach out to get something and sit back up. She is growing too fast. She likes to play with anything in site and gets upset if she can't reach it. Her favorite toy is mommy's phone so if you get a call from me and no one says anything Emma probably called.
Today she had her appointment with the neurologist who told us she does need a helmet and its actually a pretty bad case. So we went today to get a scan of her head so they can get the helmet ready for it. She was such a great baby there did not get mad at all which I was surprised about with everyone messing with her head. She will probably have her helmet by the time we come to NC in May. We got a pink one since we could pick our own design. We both think the design is adorable. I never realized how many designs there were for these helmets. They had a princess one, a pink one with butterflies and a bunch with cars on them. The one we got was pink camo so she matches daddy. Its cute I promise. She will have to wear this helmet for 3 months which to me seems like a long time but its better to get it done early.
Well that is all to report today. Sorry no pictures I am having a hard time getting any on this thing. love you all.

its been awhile

I know it has been awhile since my last blog and I am very sorry about that. There has been many things that have happened since the last blog. Emma is now sitting up on her own unassisted for an average of 5 minutes. If we put her infront of the mirror she will do it longer. I guess she likes to look at herself. She is still not rolling over which is not a surprise for us but again if we put her looking at herself she will stay on her belly longer.
As many of you know Emma got an assessment done a few weeks ago. (Which is how we found out about using a mirror). They told us that she was averaging at a 4 months old level but I'm really not worried b/c children decide on their own when they want to do things. It seems to me that she just wants to skip rolling all together. They also told us they wouldn't be surprised if Emma never crawls because of her acid reflux and that she may start crawling early. Again, not a big surprise since both Dale and I started to walk early. He walked at 8 months and I walked at 10. The OT lady will be coming on the 9th to start her on the program they set her up on. We had to decide what we wanted her to be able to do in 6 months. One was play with toys in her mouth more (which she started doing the day after they left). Two to be either walking or crawling and third for her to be talking more. I think we will have no problems with any of those things.
Well that is all for today but I will be posting more soon. the computer is not letting me upload any pictures right now. sorry.

Emma is now 5 months old!

I can not believe how fast Emma is growing. We had to go to the store a few days ago to get her some new clothes. She is still in her 3-6 months clothes but is starting to be too tall for them but she is so skinny that she can still wear some of her 0-3 month clothes.

She has become such a happy baby. Every morning she wakes me up by giggling or talking to herself. Its so wonderful to hear her happy voice in the morning. She is now also starting to sit up on her own not for long but she is starting to do it! We are so proud of our little girl and love watching her play. Her favorite toy to play with right now is a butterfly toy that Mimi got her. It is constantly making noise even when she is nowhere near it. It drives me crazy but she loves it. She also loves her feet. she is always touching them. She is not sucking on her toe yet but I am sure that will come soon. Her and Abby have become such buddies which is so cute. Abby loves to lay by her head when she is doing tummy time. Emma still hates tummy time but she is starting to deal with it a lot better now than when I first started having her do it.

Also my sister is pregnant with her second daughter, Amelia. She is due at the beginning of March so hopefully Emma will have another cousin here really soon.

Emma is 4 months old!!!

Look how much she has grown!!!

Emma turned 4 months January the 5th. I can't believe how fast time is going by. People always say that before you know it your baby will be grown up. It feels like just yesterday I was pregnant with her. I want her to stay a baby forever. : (

Today Emma had her 4 month appointment which went fairly well. I was actually surprised at how small my little girl is. She is 12lbs and measured 24 1/2 inches long. So my little girl is tall and skinny. I know she didn't get that from me. hehe. The doctor wants me to come back in a month so that she can get weighed again. He said that its nothing to worry about but he just wants to make sure she continues to gain the right amount of weight. She has always been small. When she was born she weighed 7lbs 9 oz and then went down a whole pound in a weeks time. I am going to start her on rice cereal today and see if that helps her out.
